Brackets for fitting a CB aerial to a truck cab, a hatch or a boot, plus spare mount bases for Sirio and GGD aerials. Which CB aerial mount fits your vehicle, and what has to match?
A mount settles two things: where the aerial sits and how well it earths. A mobile CB aerial works against the bodywork as its ground plane, so the fixing face needs clean metal to metal contact.
On a truck the brackets are cut for named cabs and one fixing point, which sets the aerial high and clear of the bodywork. Each carries a position letter: (P) at a sun visor upright or anchorage, (V) at the two screws of a door's vertical upright, (O) above the driver's door by rivets. All are electropolished stainless steel, and the Actros 2016, Stralis new Series and DAF X brackets are laser cut from high strength steel.

For a car, the Hi Way tiltable steel bracket fits a tailgate or boot lid lip and folds the aerial down for a low garage, a barrier or a car wash, then back upright without removing it. It takes one of the optional SO-239 cables, not included. Where no cab shaped bracket is listed, the Sirio universal bracket has holes for adjustment to match the fixing points on your cab, mirror arm or bar.
If the whip is sound and only the base has failed, order the matching spare. The P5000-PL mount is the Sirio spare for the Performer P5000 and P5000-PL, the P600-P800 PL mount covers the Performer 600 and 800, and this spare mount base suits the Sirio P 5000 and GGD Turbo 2002. Bases do not interchange between aerial families.
The check most often missed: the bracket has to earth through sound, clean metal. Bolted to plastic trim it leaves the aerial with no ground plane, and on a boot lip the edge has to be bare metal where the clamp grips. Reset the SWR with a meter whenever the mount moves.
