SWR Meters
Check the match before you transmit. An SWR meter tells you whether the aerial is presenting the radio with a load it can drive, and it reads output power at the same time. Everything in this category is Moonraker, so the choice comes down to the band you work on and how much power your set puts out.
- SWR-125 covers 26 to 30 MHz at 50 ohms and handles 100W, the CB meter of the three.
- SWR-200 covers 1.8 to 160 MHz for HF and VHF, up to 400W, and reads average or PEP.
- SWR-400 covers 140 to 525 MHz for VHF and UHF, also up to 400W.
- Both 400W meters read on 5W, 20W, 200W and 400W ranges and run a 13.8V DC lamp.
Our guide explains what SWR means, the readings to aim for and how to tune safely.
