Home Base CB Antennas

Base station aerials for CB and the 10 metre band from Sirio, Prosistel, Tagra and Falkos, with the coax to feed them. Every one is omnidirectional, so the choice comes down to height, mast fit and power handling. The Sirio Signal Keeper is 2.37 m and fits a balcony or a loft; the Prosistel PST-1011J J-pole stands about 8.5 m and needs no ground plane.

• Element type: 1/4 wave ground plane, 1/2 wave, 5/8 wave or 3/4 wave J-pole
• Power handling: 100 Watts on the Signal Keeper, 5 kW pep on the PST-1011J
• Mast fit: 35 to 42 mm on the Sirio GPE27, 40 to 50 mm on the Prosistel
• Coax: RG58, Mini8 and RG213 from 10 to 30 metres, PL259 plugs fitted on the patch leads

Before ordering, our guide covers height above the roofline, mast, radials and the cable run for a base aerial at home.
