A ready made 20 metre coaxial patch lead built on RG213 military specification cable, with a PL259 plug already fitted at each end. It is made for a home base setup where the radio sits indoors and the aerial is up on a chimney, gable end or mast, so the run reaches in one piece instead of being joined from shorter leads. RG213 is a thick, heavy duty coax, so it is the sort of cable you fit once and leave in place for the long term.
- Part reference: PL213-20M
- Cable: 20 metre RG213 military specification
- Connectors: 2 x PL259 plugs fitted
- Range: CS Premium patch lead
Before ordering, measure the route the cable will actually take, including the drop down the wall and the slack you need at the mast, rather than the straight line distance between radio and aerial. Check that the sockets on your set and on your aerial fitting accept a standard PL259 plug. Allow a generous bend radius where the cable passes a window frame or wall duct, keep the connectors out of standing water, and once everything is connected, check the aerial with an SWR meter before you run any real power into it.
